Terri Lynn Schmidt - President and Founder
After a career in Nashville at Opryland and entertaining for our US Troops in Cuba, Panama, and Honduras, Terri embarked upon her career as a wife of 21 years to Harry Schmidt (NHRA Funny Car Pioneer and Hall-Of-Famer) and as a mother to daughters, Hillary and Hailey.
Her love for missions has taken her back to Honduras and to “La Finca Los Ninos” Orphanage for many consecutive years. Traveling down the Amazon River was a life changing experience for Terri and her family. Two years ago she rekindled her passion for writing and was approached with an opportunity to co-author a book titled, “Dare To Be A Difference Maker”, by Michelle Prince. Branching from that experience Terri was asked to endorse 2 books and was given the honor of writing a column in the Downtown Business Newspaper. Her column of 2 years running is called, “Beauty Is Fleeting: INSIDE MATTERS” in which she writes on all matters of the heart.
In April of 2012 Terri and her daughter’s lives would be forever changed when Harry lost his 4 year battle to Prostate Cancer. Upon that moment of his passing, Terri and her daughters sought fervently to start a 501-c3 Non-Profit charity in Harry’s honor. The HARRY M SCHMIDT FOUNDATION was formed. Along with spending her time progressing Harry’s foundation, whose mission is to provide funds to men who cannot afford treatment for Prostate Cancer, she continues her writing, growing her personal business, traveling, and spending time with her daughters.
